COMMUNICATION
The students ability to persuade others with respect to biblical and theological contexts in order to apply and communicate scripture.
Over all reflection on communication
For my competence on communication, I am submitting a message on spiritual gifts to the leaders of New Mt. Zion Baptist Church. This message will demonstrate my ability to effectively communicate to the leaders of the church and actively get leaders involve in the message. The opportunity to present to the leaders and keep them engaged was an incredible experience.
I also had an opportunity to give a message to student involved in summer program through Abbas House at Park Central Baptist Church. I was given the privilege to close out the summer program. I developed a short message that offered some encouraging words for students and camp leaders to ponder.
From the leadership training workshop, I was asked to do additional leadership development with all of our ministry teams. I will share some brief teaching segments with some of our ministry teams.
Learning reflection
It has been truly blessing to have had the opportunity to communicate God’s word and to feel His spirit moving when sharing the gospel. It is by His spirit working through me, that I am able to be authentic in my deliver when communicating with leaders of the church or the youth. My prayer is that God continues developing me in the area of communication that He get the glory in all that I do.
Leadership Training | Video Christian Camp | Video
This was a leadership training workshop for all of the leaders at New Mt. Zion. I trained them on the strength finder assessment and taught them about the importance of knowing their strengths/gifts. The teaching came from 1 Corinthian 12 and 13 dealing with the use of Spiritual gifts.
The message came from Luke 2:52 dealing with Jesus increasing in wisdom, stature, and favor. The main focus was centered on the importance of establishing a personal relationship with Jesus.
