Harry Everett Resume

Ministry Philosophy

I believe we need to find our identity before one can understand Theology.  “Without a deep knowing of God we are hindered in knowing ourselves.”  “Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.’  And God He created him; male and female He created them.” The chief purpose of each human being is “to glorify God and enjoy him forever.”  I exist to bring God glory and advance the gospel.

God desires a personal relationship with me. God is in relations with me through the blood of Jesus Christ and I am to be guided by the Holy Spirit that resides in me.   I must listen to the Holy Spirit, if I expect to be empowered through His Spirit.  I have the “Master Teacher” present with me daily to show me the way to go.  The Bible tells me, “He eternally existed with the Father and the Holy Spirit, enjoying their mutual love, relishing in their unity, and sharing in their divine glory.” I know that Jesus Christ was fully divine possessing all attributes of God.  The Father sent his son as the Savior.  As the Father is in relations with His son, He created me to be in relation with Him and one another.

I will teach families how to love God and love others by creating a culture that emphasizes learn, share, serve, and pray. I believe it is important to model our personal relationship with Christ by living a life of godly character.

Harry Everett has been a faithful servant for the Lord for over 30 years. His passion has been spreading the word of God by reaching out and impacting the lives of student athletes. His previous positions as a Coach, Assistant Principal, Head Coach, and Athletic Director in the Richardson Independent School District for over 23 years have allowed him to accomplish this dream.

It was through his coaching that he became affiliated with Coaches Outreach and its founding director, Tommy Maxwell. Coaches Outreach is a marriage ministry that hosts retreats for coaches and their spouses. Harry and his wife have attended the retreats for over 18 years. Harry served as a Board Member of Coaches Outreach for five years. In addition, he and his wife faithfully served as small group leaders at the retreats by leading small groups and encouraging married coaching couples.

Harry and his wife have been members of New Mt Zion Baptist Church for over 30 years. They have been dedicated to their Sunday School Marriage Ministry by serving as teachers since it was established in 2000. Due to their leadership and commitment to ministering to married couples, for the past 5 years their Pastor has solicited their assistance in developing and coordinating marriage retreats for their church.

Currently, Harry is the Coordinating Director of Student Services for R.I.S.D. He and his wife enjoy ministering to married couples. Additionally, he is able to continue his spiritual growth by attending Dallas Theological Seminary where he will be graduating in May 2014 with a Master’s Degree in Christian Education. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from East Texas State University and a Master’s Degree in Education Administration from Texas A&M Commerce.

He has been a featured speaker at Nike Coaching Clinics, High School Banquets, High School Honor Roll Breakfasts, Young Life, Youth Groups, Church High School and College Groups, Fellowship of Christian Athletes Huddle Groups and Richardson I.S.D. AVID Groups. As a result of his experience, education, and desires, Harry has formed Camp 20/20, a marriage and family ministry. He is the founding and executive director.

Harry has been married to his soul mate, Pam, for 23 years. They were both born and raised in Dallas, TX. They have one daughter and currently make their home in Lucas, TX
